1. Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar

Middle-aged best friends Barb and Star leave their home of Soft Rock, Nebraska for the first time to go on vacation to Vista Del Mar, Florida. This is a feel-good, quirky and funny movie about two best friends.

2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

At the age of eleven, Harry Potter discovers that he is a wizard and is invited to attend school in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There he discovers more than spells and magic potions. A movie that is humbling and magical!

3. Good Will Hunting

This Oscar-winning drama is about love and how it conquers everything. Will Hunting has a genius-level IQ but chooses to work as a janitor at MIT. His talents are discovered by a professor who decides to help Will reach his potential. When Will is arrested for attacking a police officer, the professor makes a deal to get leniency for him if he will get treatment from a therapist and genius like him.

4. Sister Act

When a lively lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier sees her mobster boyfriend commit murder, she is relocated for her protection. Relieved about it, she arrives at a California convent only to realize she has to pretend to be a nun until the case is solved. A fun musical about how Deloris adds some glitz to the quiet lives of the resident sisters.

5. Little Miss Sunshine

The dysfunctional Hoover family—a man, his wife, an uncle, a brother, and a grandfather—pile into a VW bus and head to California to support a daughter trying to win the Little Miss Sunshine Contest. The journey, however, stretches their limit as a group and causes epic funny problems as they travel along their interstate route.

Annie is a single woman who is lovelorn and almost penniless. But when she learns that her lifelong best friend, Lillian is engaged, she is excited to serve as the maid of honor. In some other friends who pull Annie into strange and expensive rituals associated with her job as the bride’s go-to gal. A fun movie about friendships.

7. The Holiday

Dumped and depressed, Iris agrees to swap homes with similarly unlucky-in-love Amanda for a much-needed break. Iris finds herself in a palatial Hollywood mansion while Amanda navigates the lanes of a picture-perfect English village. A film about always finding love!
