2022 is all set to become the year of the superheroes with these splendid releases from both Marvel and DC. Though theaters have 100% occupancy people are still wary about going to theaters and have become used to binging online.
The 2022 releases will set the records back on track for the traditional theater visits with these digital masterpieces. Let’s find out what to expect this new year!
Batman
While Twilight was a great hit Robert Pattinson was not thrilled with his role. Let’s hope that the actor likes his batman cape this time around. The next movie on the Batman franchise will likely be released on March 4th.
Moribus
Morbius will hit the theaters on 28th January 2022 and will begin the record Hollywood releases. Jared Leto switched to MCU and is portraying doctor Morbius, a genius scientist turned villain.
Fantastic Beasts
The next addition to the Harry Potter prequel is Fantastic Beasts: The Secret of Dumbledore. The truth about Dumbledore’s death is hard to accept and the only way to relive is by visiting the past. Yet another adventure of Newt Scamander and his band of witches and wizards against Gellert Grindelwald will be released on 15th April.
Doctor Strange
MCU has its set of stories lined for the next five years and the next addition to the Avengers will be Doctor Strange’s expedition into the Multiverse of Madness. If you watched Spiderman’s No Way Home you will know that Cumberbatch almost broke the time. Now it’s time to make things right again and for that, he will need the help of Elizabeth’s Scarlet Witch. Spoiler: Doctor Strange should beat many villains and fight with his darker self in the process.
Jurassic World
Dominion will be yet another mind-blowing history lesson delivered by Chris Pratt and Dallas Howard. The movie is set to release on June 10th.
Thor
Love and Thunder will be released in July and the MCU is all seat to witness the coronation of the First Lady Thor. Hemsworth will pass on his mantle to Natalie Portman with other godly beings on the side rows.
Black Adam
2022 will be a treat for DC fans too. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is portraying Black Adam and the world is all set to witness the beginning of the most villainous anti-hero in DC history on 29th July.
Mission Impossible
Is it going to be impossible or I’m possible Tom Cruise? The seventh mission will release on 30th September with some crazy sky, rail, and land action. The power-packed movie is rumored to have a cameo by the Indian star Prabhas, the lead of the movie Bahubali.
SpiderMan
Metaverse, Multiverses, MC universe there is a verse for everything and so dos spiderman. Across the Spiderverse will be released in parts and the first part will hit the big screen on October 7th. The trailer doe indicates the presence of the very first Indian Spiderman too.
Black Panther
Nobody can replace Chadwick and Marvel knows that. Thus there will be no recast for Wakanda Forever. The movie will have its theatrical release on November 11th and will showcase how Wakanda moves on without Black Panther.
Avatar 2/ Aquaman
The last big hit will be Avatar 2 and Aquaman if every other movie releases on the scheduled months and dates without any changes. The Lost Kingdom and Cameron’s magnum opus’ Avatar 2 will hit the theaters on 16th December. Sully and Neytiri will battle an ancient force that is set to wreak havoc in Pandora. While Aquaman was heavily inspired by ‘The Planet of Vampires’ it will showcase the world we are living in today.
