The next project of Ryan Murphy in Netflix has produced yet another violent, richly costumed series with Sara Paulson as the lead.

With just named “Ratched” which depicts a young Mildred Ratched who gets her first job in the North California psychiatric center. The character which was adapted from Ken Kesey’s 1962 book was depicted in the 1975 movie with Jack Nicholson by Louis Fletcher which grabbed an Oscar for the frightening role.
The series is premiering on September 18th and speaking on this Ryan said: “imagining of how this monster was created,” and that the series starts before years and prior to Miloš Forman helmed series adapted from the novel titled the same.
“I feel like Nurse Ratched is sort of a shorthand for barbarism. She became almost like a catchphrase for any sort of institutional abuse of power,” Murphy said of the series, which has already been picked up for a second season. “What was interesting was trying to create an emotional character from a reputation that’s very cold … trying to figure out every little detail about her childhood, her relationships, her sexuality. Because when people think of Ratched, they think of her as shutoff and cruel and uncaring.”
This series will be the new one with the streamer after “Hollywood” and “The Politician.”
