Pride & Prejudice is getting yet another makeover—but this time, Netflix is behind the bonnet. And judging by the cast lineup, this six-part limited series might just be the steamiest, sassiest, and most British Austen adaptation yet.

The streamer has finally dropped the full cast and a very telling first-look photo of the Bennet sisters (plus Mama B), and let’s just say—expect drama.

Meet the New Bennets

At the heart of it all is The Crown’s Emma Corrin, who will bring a modern edge to our favorite heroine, Elizabeth Bennet. Playing opposite them as the ever-icy Mr. Darcy is Slow Horses star Jack Lowden (we can already sense the chemistry). And just to up the ante? Oscar-winner Olivia Colman is slipping into the chaos as the meddlesome Mrs. Bennet. Genius.

But the casting gold doesn’t stop there—Rufus Sewell (yes, The Diplomat king) is on board as the quietly wise Mr. Bennet. Freya Mavor (Industry) plays perfect sister Jane, while Heartstopper’s Rhea Norwood brings spunky Lydia to life. Newcomers Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery round out the household as Mary and Kitty.

The Men, the Myths, the Mr. Wickhams

Louis Partridge (Disclaimer) will take on the smirky, scandalous Mr. Wickham, while Knives Out hunk Daryl McCormack is your new Mr. Bingley. Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats) as Mr. Collins? That’s casting perfection. Throw in Fiona Shaw as the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourg, and you’ve got a lineup that even Jane Austen would gossip about.

Who’s Behind the Magic?

Director Euros Lyn smiling during an interview.

The series is penned by Dolly Alderton (yes, Everything I Know About Love Dolly), and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper, again—Netflix really knows their audience). It’s being hailed as a faithful adaptation, but with a cast this bold, we’re expecting it to be anything but boring.

Why You Should Care (Even If You’ve Read the Book 10 Times)

This isn’t just another corset-and-carriage drama. With a fresh creative team and a high-gloss cast, Netflix’s Pride & Prejudice is shaping up to be your next Sunday binge obsession. Think smart writing, serious acting chops, and—let’s be real—a Mr. Darcy who might actually give Colin Firth a run for his pond-diving money.

Production has kicked off in the UK, and while we don’t have a release date yet, this cast reveal is more than enough to start counting down.
