Drake Files for a Restraining Order Against “Stalker”
Mar 11, 2022
Rapper Drake recently filed a temporary restraining order against a woman who had been allegedly stalking his California home for years. According to Page Six, the woman was also accused of sending threatening emails, “Wishing him dead,” and even asking him to “Shoot himself and his son with a bullet.”
The accused, Mesha Collins, a 29-year-old woman was previously arrested in 2017 for breaking into Drake’s house. Collins has been harassing Drake since 2017, according to the court documents. Last year, Collins filed a $4 billion lawsuit against Drake, alleging defamation and invasion of privacy. However, the Grammy-award winner argued that he didn’t know her name until last summer.
“In April 2017, somebody broke into my Los Angeles home when I was not there. At the time of that incident, I was not told any details about the trespasser, including her name,” the rapper said in a statement. “I understand that [Collins] filed a lawsuit against me in August 2021. When this lawsuit was filed and served on me, I learned that Plaintiff is the same person who broke into my house in Los Angeles in April 2017,” Drake added.
The restraining order bars Collins from contacting or coming within 100 yards from Drake, his family, and his home.
