Global pop icon Taylor Swift has filed a restraining order against a man who has allegedly been stalking her for over a year. According to court documents reviewed by The Wrap, the man—identified as 45-year-old Brian Wagner—has not only claimed a relationship with Swift but also bizarrely stated they share a child together.
In a chilling turn, Wagner reportedly visited the singer’s Los Angeles home five times, once holding a glass bottle that Swift’s team believes “could have been used as a weapon.” Even more disturbingly, he allegedly falsified DMV records to list Swift’s home address as his own residence.
In her court statement, the “Fortnight” singer made it crystal clear: “I have no relationship with Mr. Wagner and have never met or communicated with him.”
The court documents reveal Wagner made repeated attempts to contact Swift and her staff, escalating in frequency and boldness. Swift, who has famously kept her address private, expressed serious concern over Wagner’s ability to track her down and his refusal to leave her property.
“This makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family,” she stated.

The restraining order was granted as a temporary protective measure until the hearing scheduled for June 30 at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Until then, Wagner is legally required to stay at least 100 yards away from Swift, her home, workplace, and vehicle.
This isn’t the first time Swift has faced obsessive fans, but the nature of Wagner’s actions—and the illusion that they share a life together—has shaken even longtime followers of the singer.
Swift’s team has not made a public comment yet, but with the temporary restraining order in effect, fans are hopeful that the superstar can continue her life and career without fear.
